Customer Reviews about Allemang Terrence DDS

  • After suffering for a very, very long weekend, I was on the phone Monday morning to a wonderful person named Kathy. She asked the doctor and I was granted a visit within two hours because " No one should have to suffering" . What a great attitude ! The office was spotless, the staff was kind and helpful, and Dr. Allemang was the best. The shots were uncomfortable, but then the bliss of being numb ! My pain is gone and I would highly recommend this practice to ANYONE !

  • Our 18 year old son needed 4 wisdom teeth that had not yet come in to be cut out. The surgery was completed, necessary time was spent in the recovery room, and we left the office within 2 1/2 hours. Dr. Allemang himself walked our son to the car (with some good humor spoken), and later that evening made a call to our house to be sure all was well, inviting us to call at any time if something didn't seem right. Post-surgery instructions were translated clearly. By following instructions on how to use ice packs, our son had very little pain (needed nothing more than ibuprofen), very little swelling, and no discoloration. Dr. Allemang was highly recommended to us for his kindness, his efficiency, and his obvious skill at removing wisdom teeth. We highly recommend him and his staff for all the same reasons.

  • I've been recommending Dr. Allemang to everyone for over twenty years. He and his staff go above and beyond to make a patient's experience as pain and worry-free as possible. When I was nineteen, I was terrified of needles and had to be put into twilight sleep before having my wisdom teeth extracted. The only thing I remember is Dr Allemang coming into to room and his surgical glasses were shaped like a purple bat, with the wings sticking out several inches on either side of his head. He leaned down, looked me right in the face and said, "Now, are you seeing anything funny? Some people say they see strange things under anesthetic..." There is no doubt in my mind that he actually was wearing silly glasses and was trying to make me laugh because he knew I was terrified by the idea of having teeth CUT out of my jaw! Years later, my husband needed the same procedure. He is very sensitive about his teeth, which aren't strong hereditarily, compounded by the fact that his parents often could not afford to give him proper dental care. He brushes and flosses religiously, even obsessively. Many dental professionals have made him feel horrible about his teeth. The staff here was showed nothing but kindness and understanding. They laughed at his jokes. They were warm and friendly and he has been so grateful for their care and effort. Again, a few years ago I was working for a very small publishing company under several deadlines and starting having a toothache in my upper molars. I went to a nearby storefront dentist for the sake of ease, and had to have two childhood fillings replaced. After a few months, the pain came back and worse and because the dentist did not properly repair my teeth, I suddenly needed root canals to repair them. I tried an oral surgeon closer to my home, and was treated with the utmost disrespect. I was told that a root canal was my only option ($$$) because the teeth were so close to my sinus cavities that it would be much more risky to just pull them. I was already furious with the first dentist who was supposed to have repaired it and I was sick to my stomach with worry and pain. This oral surgeon said my teeth were abscessed, put me on antibiotics, and sent me home without doing anything for my now excruciating pain. As it turns out, my teeth weren't abscessed, but I had a sinus infection causing swelling to push on my teeth from above. I got a second opinion from Dr. Allemang and he said they were not abscessed and that he could pull them. And he did. No fuss. Five seconds for each tooth and done. You can rest assured that he will tell the truth and not schedule multiple unnecessary appointments to pad his bill. A truly great oral surgeon doesn't have to. As an added bonus, we have experienced almost NO pain post procedure. How blessed I am to have this man as my oral surgeon!

  • Wonderful experience! He was so caring and provided general anesthesia at my request even though he could've done local. I had no pain whatsoever after the surgery and was absolutely blown away by the fact that he walked me out to my car, put my seatbelt on and even called me from his own home late that night!
